Again by 2014 the exams were combined into one so as to ease out the pressure on the students, and also to reduce the time taken to complete the examination procedure, as being an All India level of examination, it’s not in the best of interest of both the examination authority and the students to drag on to unnecessary dates.
And that’s how the All India Pre Medical Entrance Examination was born, which is conducted only for 15% of the total seats in the country.
Question Paper Pattern:-
The question paper consists of 180 marks in total. The questions are all optional, and there are no directly written answers.
The exam spreads over 3 main subjects, namely Chemistry, Physics and then Biology. Where Biology can again be categorized as Botany and Zoology.
Every single question contains 4 marks, and there is negative marking as well. The one good thing is, negative marking is done only for “wrong” answers, but not if the question is un-attempted.
There has been a significant increase in the number of applicants in the past two years, considering there were only 616,982 applicants for AIPMT in 2014, while the number is increased to 632,620 in 2015.
AIPMT 2019:-
The AIPMT examinations are scheduled to take place on May 05, 2019.
The Central Board of Secondary Education has allowed the participation of voluntary schools and colleges in the AIPMT so that they can filter out the meritorious students from the merit list of the AIPMT examinations.
How Important is the AIPMT 2019:-
AIPMT 2019 can be a life changer for you. Not just for you, for each and every candidate out there appearing in it.
One of the traditional aims of lives of Indian students is either to be a Doctor or an Engineer and that you can attain by appearing in the AIMPT’s or (JEE as in the case of engineering ).
AIPMT offers you a safe and secure future. It introduced “quota reservations” couple years back means if you are an SC / ST / OBC you will be given special attention and opportunities.
Additionally, the colleges where you are placed are Government run, perusing an MBBS privately is extremely expensive, but the same done via AIPMT in the government colleges will be dirt cheap.
Also, the placement from these colleges is much higher than any private institution out there, as these institutions are recognized by the government and the CBSE.
So yes, it’s one of the rarest opportunities in the countries to secure your future without having to worry about money, corruption or any other biased regulations. You score well; you are selected simply as that.
What subjects are most important for AIPMT:-
As it’s “medical” exam, Biology is the prime focus. Both the branches of the subject are covered, the Zoology and the Botany. But then again, just because it’s a medical exam, you can’t ignore the requirement and importance of Physics or Chemistry.
It’s important to have sound knowledge of both Physics as well as chemistry. Although the relief for most of you might be that mathematics isn’t given as much importance in the AIPMT 2019.
Although you still might need it for the physics part, that’s just supplementary. Maths directly as a subject isn’t important, and thus as most of the population hates mathematics anyway, you don’t need to worry about it being an obstacle on your way to success.
Final Words:-
The AIPMT is to be conducted from the 5th of May, 2019. There’s less than 2 months time left, so it’s high time you should get back to your books.
Cracking this exam, or just about any exam isn’t as hard as it seems a like. The only determining factor is how hard you’re willing to go for it.
