Answer: Though I believe in getting backlinks for my blog I mostly concerned to earn links rather than building them because that looks more natural. When it comes to link building, I would suggest you check out this post of mine where I have shared a few strategies that are working in 2015.

- On page status of the website. [You may use Woorank tool to get the data quickly. However, manual review is must.]
- Backlink Profile of the website. [Ahrefs, MajesticSEO tools are good for this purpose

- Commenting on the do-follow blogs/websites and for that, CommentLuv-enabled blogs are good.
- Write striking content that people from your industry do link to them.
- Reciprocate. One who comes to your blog, you must go there and comment on their posts. This enables the phase of a long-lasting relationship.
- Guest posting on relevant blogs.
- Interview related persons, invite them on your podcast (if you have), introduce them to your audience, and anything possible you can think of. It enables to win the social boost for yourself as well as get higher chances of being linked on their blogs/websites. With it, you venture into the bigger side of the blogging.
- Anything possible you think to boost the relationship building.
3. What does thing need to keep in mind before Competitors website Analysis?
- Check their search engine’s performance.
- Check their domain authority (DA) and page Authority (PA) to examine their popularity on the web and for individual links on their website.
- Check their online rankings. Alexa was good but not so good than similarweb.com, SEMRush.com, and compete.com
- Examine their social performance following their social accounts on different social networks.

This was a great discussion. If anything I would say I agree with Adeel.
Why?
Because that's the model I follow and it's working great for me. In fact blog commenting helped me get over the 1000 visitors/month hump.
I usually concentrate on blogs that have the Commentluv premium plugin, but above all my main goal is reciprocation. I do this through commenting and doing mentions.
