SaurabhSeptember 12, 2016
You are panicked!
When you realize significant files on your computer are not in the place you stored, you are terrified to the core given you have no choice to get it back from any third-party.

What can you do? Most of the people sit idle and bang their head on the wall.

Don’t worry! I have got you three tips to apply when you feel your files are missing.

Tips to Restore Deleted FilesThe following are the three tips that helped me Restore Deleted Files in windows.#1. Search for the File

When you don’t see an important file in a directory you placed the same, it doesn’t mean the file was deleted. What if you don’t remember the folder? Or you might move the file into a new directory as well.

Almost every OS offers an inbuilt search feature using which you can find any file. But you should recollect the file name or at least a part of the name.

In case you don’t remember the file name, go with the file type (.jpg or .pdf). Still, it fetches you one heck of a job to filter the search result.

#2. Check Recycle Bin or Trash

Be it Windows, Mac or Linux, you get a specific location called Recycle Bin or Trash into which every deleted file goes. Operating systems are equipped with such a feature to avoid awkward file missing situations.

When you can’t find a file in a directory it should be in, open Recycle Bin ( the name is different on different OS). Hopefully, you can find the file there.

Bear in mind that this is not applicable if the delete button is pressed simultaneously with Shift or the file has been removed from the Bin.

Install Disk Drill

Do you know what? Even if the tips given above don’t come to your rescue, you can restore the deleted files out of the blue.

Whenever you think an important file is missing from your computer, you should proceed to these three data recovery tips to get it back.

Even though the first two steps don’t help you, I am sure that you will be satisfied with the third one. You need to wait some time to finish the scan, though.
